New dates announced for community information sessions

Following the roll-back of the Stay at Home restrictions on 22 November 2020, we are pleased to announce that Community Information Sessions as part of the revised draft Planning and Design Code consultation will resume with new dates starting from 2 December 2020 until 14 December 2020.

A series of 6 community information sessions will be held in select metropolitan locations as follows:

  • St Clair Recreational Centre, 109 Woodville Road, Woodville
    Wednesday 2 December 2020, 4.00 pm to 8.00 pm
  • Gawler Civic Centre - The Institute Hall, 89-91 Murray Street, Gawler
    Friday 4 December 2020, 4.00 pm to 8.00 pm
  • Thebarton Community Centre (Hall A), South Road and Ashwin Parade, Torrensville
    Monday 7 December 2020, 4.00 pm to 8.00 pm
  • Glenunga Hub, Margaret Bond Room, 70 Conyngham Street, Glenunga
    Wednesday 9 December 2020, 4.00 pm to 8.00 pm
  • Mount Barker Community Centre, 3 Dumas Street, Mount Barker
    Thursday 10 December 2020, 4.00 pm to 8.00 pm
  • Noarlunga Centre – Civic Area, Ramsay Place, Noarlunga Centre
    Monday 14 December 2020, 4.00 pm to 8.00 pm.

For community members outside of the metropolitan area or for people who would prefer to speak with a Code policy expert online, we are also offering the following ‘virtual’ community drop-in sessions:

  • Thursday 3 December 2020, 3.00 pm to 5.00 pm
  • Friday 11 December 2020, 10.00 am to 12.00 pm
  • Tuesday 15 December 2020, 10.00 am to 12.00 pm.

These information sessions are in addition to the ‘How to use the Online Planning and Design Code and make a submission’ webinar series which is also being run throughout the consultation period.

Ensuring a COVID-safe event

All community members are encouraged to register for the information session of their choice, to assist us in meeting the new COVID-safe directions issued by the State Government for defined public activities. We are committed to delivering an event that ensures the health, wellbeing and safety of our attendees and staff.

All sessions will have a dedicated COVID-safe plan and will include:

  • physical and social distancing requirements of 1 person per 4 square metres
  • hand sanitising stations and contact-tracing measures at all events
  • a dedicated COVID-Marshal on site to ensure safety measures and cleaning protocols are followed
  • face masks are optional, but encouraged if you are out in public and unable to physically distance.
