Flood planning and mitigation open day: Gawler

Learn more about what is being done to plan for and mitigate the risk of flooding in the Gawler River region and how you can help protect your property from floods.

Drop in any time between 12 noon and 3 pm to talk with staff from key agencies working to mitigate flood risk and support communities to protect themselves and their property during floods.

Come along to chat with the Department for Housing and Urban Development team, who will be on hand to share information and answer your questions about the draft State-Wide Flood Hazard Code Amendment.

We’ll be joining other agencies, including the Department for Environment and Water and Gawler River Floodplain Management Authority at this flood planning and mitigation open day.

This information session is targeted towards building certifiers and council building officers and will demonstrate how applications for Certificate of Occupancy applications can be processed and issued within the DAP.
