Have your say on the proposed Southern Barossa Winery and Tourist Accommodation Project

Published Wednesday, 5 November 2025

Community feedback is invited on the draft Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the proposed Southern Barossa Winery and Tourist Accommodation Project.

Strategic Alliance and Commercial Pty Ltd has submitted an EIS that examines the potential social, economic and environmental impacts associated with the construction and operation of the development.

The proposal can generally be described as development involving a change in land use and building work associated with the construction and operation of tourist accommodation (in the form of a multi-level hotel building, with restaurant, function-conference facilities, wellness-spa, pool and other recreational facilities, outdoor areas and associated carparking) and a winery, cellar door, indoor and outdoor function areas, and carparking; and ancillary service infrastructure and civil works.

The project is being assessed as an Impact Assessed Development under the PDI Act. As part of the consultation process, the EIS has also been referred to The Barossa Council and relevant state agencies for their review and feedback.
