Are you a conveyancer or responsible for providing information for property interest reports and form one documents? We've made some updates to South Australia's Code Amendment Register to help make finding information easier. Stay tuned as we give you a tour of the code amendment homepage and walk through the features of the Code Amendment Register.
We begin on the code amendment homepage. This page is a one-stop shop for information relating to the code amendments.
You will note six key tiles at the bottom of the page which when clicked provide the following information: overview of the process to amend the Code; information about processing fees; a map to demonstrate the spatial application of proposed and completed amendments; a toolkit with templates, guides and resources; a dashboard which tracks the status of all code amendments; and a link to the Planning and Design Code. On the right is the ability to search for a code amendment via the register. You can enter specific details or click view all code amendments.
Welcome to the Code Amendment Register. The register is a record of code amendments that have initiation decision. It provides an overview of the code amendment, relevant documentation and the status of its progress through the assessment process. The register is updated each day on an hourly basis.
The register homepage includes basic information in a table format which can be filtered by initiation date, code amendment ID, the type, local government area, the code amendment title, or the status. The display table can be exported by clicking here, or if you would like to receive regular updates you can subscribe to be notified to receive updates on specific code amendments.
The newest feature on the register is the form one. This column identifies whether a code amendment is relevant for the purposes of a form one by indicating a yes or no answer. Yes means that a code amendment is released for consultation or consultation has ended but the code amendment has not come into operation. A no indicates that the code amendment has yet to commence consultation or that it has completed the process and is in operation.
That is a lot of information to take in so we've put it all in a glossary for future reference. The glossary page will open in a new tab so that you don't lose your existing search. The glossary also provides helpful definitions and information about the code amendment status and any information recorded in the progress tab. To close a glossary click back to code amendments.
Are you interested in looking at a code amendment currently on consultation? You can click here, or you can view all code amendments and use a toggle from the register filter. At the time of recording there isn't any live consultations.
If you want to know more about an individual code amendment the results in the table will include a quick link to make a submission, or if you would like to know more about the code amendments click on the code amendment ID number. You'll be greeted with an overview of the code amendment and a summary of the consultation status. If the code amendment is on consultation there'll be a quick link at the top right to make a submission. By clicking the consultation tab you will have access to key submission details and documents.
All code amendments will also have a progress tab which provides key milestones of the code amendment process and progress. If you are not sure what that means remember you can check details in the register glossary for further information.
All code amendments also have a documents tab which includes related documents and further information. Clicking back to results will take us back to the register landing page. The register will remember your filters so click clear if you would like to start fresh.
If you would like to see what code amendments are in your area you can filter by the local government area, or you can also launch the CA map viewer here to see a spatial representation of code amendment information.
